Joana Pimenta, cineasta lisboeta, es profesora en el Departamento de Estudios Visuales y Ambientales en Harvard y autora de dos cortomerajes hasta la fecha: The Figures Carved into the Knife by the Sap of the Banana Trees  y el reciente y excepcional An Aviation Field, realizado dentro de la experiencia del Harvard Sensory Ethnography Lab. La abordamos días antes de su viaje a Locarno, donde estrenó Once it was Brasilia, su último trabajo como directora de fotografía, y aprovechar así el intercambio de algunas palabras con ella.

Joana Pimenta, from Lisbon, is a teacher in the Department of Visual and Environmental Studies at Harvard and a filmmaker with two titles to her name, the films The Figures Carved into the Knife by the Sap of the Banana Trees and the new and exceptional An Aviation Field, right from her experience in the Harvard Sensory Ethnography Lab. We caught her a day before her trip to Locarno, to premiere Once it was Brasilia, her last work as a cinematographer, and exchanged some words with her.
