La sección Fine Grain, que desde hace ya algunos años viene incluyendo programas de cortometrajes experimentales proyectados en analógico, volvió a reunir a algunos cineastas y artistas reconocidos participantes en ediciones anteriores, y también a presentar el trabajo de jóvenes realizadores que visitaban por primera vez el festival; todos reunimos desde algunos componentes similares en sus obras.

BAFICI 2019: CLASE MAGISTRAL DE FRIEDL VOM GRÖLLER

Friedl vom Gröller, fotógrafa y cineasta experimental austríaca, nacida en Londres en 1946, fue la invitada más importante del 21° Bafici. El festival programó una selección de sus películas y ella dio una clase magistral en la Universidad del Cine, en la que presentó una muestra de sus filmes y fotos.

There’s no doubt that (S8) Mostra de Cinema Periférico, in La Coruña, is one of the most important spaces for exhibition of experimental cinema around the world. Each year, its careful programs, the performances, installations and masterclasses, affirm the festival as a space for dialogue and enjoyment, in projections of 8, 16, 35mm or video, which transform the film experience in a survivor, in the middle of an international crisis of projection, distribution and exhibition of films.

(S8) MOSTRA DE CINE PERIFÉRICO 2018: CINE-CONFERENCIA DE FRIEDL VOM GRÖLLER

En su cine-conferencia dada en el marco del (S8) Mostra de Cinema Periférico 2018 (que incluyó proyecciones de algunos de sus cortos y fotografías), la cineasta y fotógrafa austriaca (nacida en Londres), Friedl vom Gröller hizo explícito su statement: “Para mi trabajo, lo más importante es el rostro humano”.
